Today was actually a fairly decent day. Classes were the usual boring mess and I studied a bit. The highlights:
1. Talked to my mom about summer stuff/job stuff/money issues. It seems her and my dad are prepared to pay my rent for the summer if all job things fall through, as long as I meet two conditions - (a) I have to hire a cleaning company to clean my apartment on a regular basis and (b) I need to look into hiring one of those "professional organizers" to do my apartment.
The cleaning issue is ridiculous - I can clean my own apartment given that I have the time and am not worried about school crap. Especially if I don't manage to get a job right off, I think I can handle cleaning my apartment! The organizer thing is equally ridiculous since it is pretty expensive and I will hopefully be in this apartment only another year and a half or so. It's not like my permanent residence.
Since my mom was being so 'demanding' I brought up the issue of the trip to Aruba and asked her if she could front me the money - I told her I was only going to go if I managed to secure a job in the next three weeks or so. She promptly decided that I was to go anyway and that I needed a break! Sometimes my parents are really just too much. So I am very excited about the prospect of a real trip away with S but also nervous about seasonal dress - eek. Will worry about that later.
2. I received an email from J. I had not received a response to my last email (we had been chatting back and forth) for nearly a month! I was concerned that maybe he had brushed me off or something similar and felt like an idiot for going out on a limb. Turns out he had knee surgery a few weeks ago and then was in the hospital with an infection for quite some time. Needless to say I felt like a dork, obsessing over something so minor. His email was very friendly and nice and so all is well on that front.
Exam stuff is annoying and I spend way more time on tf and lj (*ahem*) to avoid the inevitable. I received two awesome outlines today from a fellow tfer who is also in law school and they will come in VERY handy, and I am very thankful for them!
Perhaps I should be off and doing something more productive with my time:)
